Hospital Los Madroños Site Visit and Workshops (November 5, 2024)
Hospital Los Madroños (HLM) is located in Brunete, about 30 minutes to the west of Madrid.

For the attendees registered for the HLM site visit and workshops, it is recommended to sleep in Madrid (in the Principe Pio area) the night of November 4, 2024, and the morning of November 5th take one of the options below to arrive to HLM in the morning. Otherwise, we will have one shuttle bus that will depart La Granja the morning of November 5th to arrive to HLM in the morning (exact pickup location and departure time to be determined).
We will have one ICNR2024 shuttle that will depart HLM to arrive to La Granja in the late afternoon of November 5th in time for the Welcome Cocktail (exact drop-off location to be determined).
To get to Los Madroños Hospital (HLM) from the Madrid City Center, there are three options.
Option 1A) Public Transport Bus 551 (Bus 551 schedule here)
A1) At the Intercambiador de Principe Pio, take the B551 bus to Brunete (located on Level -2, at the bottom left in Darsena 22).
A2) From the B551 Brunete bus stop, it is a 7 minute walk to HLM.
Option 1B) Public Transport Bus 581 (Carretera M501 – El Ventorro; Bus 581 schedule here)
B1) At the Intercambiador de Principe Piot, take the B81 bus to Brunete (located on Level -1, at the Darsena 5).
B2) From the B81 Brunete bus stop, it is a 7 minute walk to HLM.
You can pay for buses two ways:
a) Purchase a public transport card called “Multi Card” (2.50€) and load it with a 10-Journey Ticket, valid for Intercity buses. Los Madroños Hospital is in Zone B3 (8.50€). The card can be shared with other people and you can buy it at the Metro de Madrid and Metro Ligero ticket machines.
b) Pay in cash for each trip, which costs 3-4€. Please try to give the bus driver the exact fare or as close to it as possible, as they may not have change for larger bills.
Option 2) By Car
You can take a taxi, Uber, Cabify or Bolt to HLM; it is a ~35min drive. The address is as follows:
