By airplane to Madrid, Spain
The nearest airport is the Adolfo Suarez Madrid Barajas Airport (MAD) in Madrid, Spain. You will then need to travel to Segovia in order to head on to La Granja.
Madrid to Segovia
Madrid Chamartin train station to Segovia (Recommended)
From Madrid-Barajas airport, the Chamartin station can be reached by metro (line 10), by train (if you landed in Terminal 4) or by taxi (flat fare, ~30 EUR).
Take a high-speed train (25 minutes) to the Segovia train station (Segovia Av. or Segovia Guiomar). To check the timetable and purchase tickets, please visit the Renfe website. It is recommended you book your train ticket in advance.
Then, transportation by shuttle bus will be provided to the “Parador de La Granja” on the first day (November 4th, 2024) and last day (November 9th) of the conference. If you are travelling any other day, please take a taxi to the “Parador de La Granja”.

- The shuttle buses will have ICNR2024 signs in the driver window. They are free and you do not need to reserve a bus seat.
From Segovia to La Granja de San Ildefonso (conference venue)
If you are in Segovia, you can take a taxi to the conference venue (it will take around 15 minutes and will cost around 20€) OR a public bus to La Granja de San Ildefonso.
